Great truffle hunting in San Miniato

We booked this excursion as we wanted to learn more about truffles and also experience an organic winery locally while in Florence. This trip was absolutely amazing! Small group, guides are so knowledgeable and helpful and Choco is so sweet and VERY good at finding truffles. We had an excellent day finding a handful of truffles in an hour. We then had a fabulous home made lunch in the owner's 16th century villa. Loved learning about the family history and all their businesses. We then had a private tour of an organic winery which was equally great. Our guide walked us thru some simple steps of tasting a Chianti and also because I am more of a white wine and rose drinker had us try one of their chardonnay's. Needless to say we had two cases of wine shipped home LOL THANK YOU!!
