Tuscany is the region of good wines, extra-virgin olive oil, and cheeses so combining these special products is a good idea to maximize the value of a food and wine tour experience. You could never find a cheesemaker on your own. The dairy farm where we will stop is a true Tuscan cheese experience! You won't be feeling like a tourist.
What to expect
Leaving from Florence with your English speaking driver, your first stop will be an organic winery that produces Chianti Clasico and Super Tuscan wines.
Here you will explore the beautiful ancient cellar which dates back to the XIV centuries. You'll be introduced to the world of wine and winemaking, to its history and legends by the staff which is wine knowledge and bilingual. A guided tasting of Chianti Classico, Riserva, and Super Tuscan wines will follow. Since this is an organic winery you will have the pleasure to taste an organic extra virgin olive oil as well.
Lunch in a tiny dairy farm
After that, we will drive to a charming family business dairy farm where we will enjoy a fresh homemade lunch along with their own cheese.
If the weather will help we could stand sitting in the open garden to enjoy the beautiful view over the Chianti shire. The family that runs the dairy will unveil the secrets of the ancient art of cheese and let you taste some wonderful Pecorino cheese.
On the way back to Florence the last stop will be at the second winery which produces also an excellent extra-virgin olive oil. You can admire the beautiful vineyard setting right in front of the cellar. After another informative visit to the beautiful small cellar, you will gather in the small wine tasting room for another wine tasting of Chianti Classico, Gran Selezione and Super Tuscan wines.
Pier was an incredible tour guide. He picked us up on time, was so nice, and taught us a lot about Italy and Wine! We did the private wine and cheese tour in Chianti. Pier took us to boutique vineyards, so we got to meet the people behind it and learn how it works. We ate DELICIOUS food, drank INCREDIBLE wine, and met the KINDEST people. My friends and I were not sure what we were getting into, but by the end of the day we all agreed it was our best day
