Great Bolgheri wine tour - Ornellaia and Sassicaia

Memorable Bolgheri wine tour! We were picked up promptly from our cruise ship in Livorno and driven to the Bolgheri area of Tuscany. Our guide provided excellent insights into the region’s history and viticulture, explaining how it differs from other parts of Tuscany. We visited several wineries, including Ornellaia, Osteria San Guido Enoteca (the tasting venue for Sassicaia), and a smaller winery, Guado de Gemoli. Ornellaia was a highlight — the property is stunning and the wines were exceptional, comparable to top Napa Valley estates like Peter Michael Winery. The lunch at Osteria San Guido Enoteca was first class, paired beautifully with the Sassicaia wines we tasted. The tour lasted about four hours, and we were returned to our cruise ship with plenty of time. This Tuscany wine tasting tour in Bolgheri is highly recommended for anyone who wants to explore one of the region’s most famous wine areas. Our guide made the experience even more enjoyable and informative.
