Today we had a magical wine tour with Andrea! If you are considering coming to the region, you will be ecstatic that you signed up for this tour! I had very high expectations, going into the wine tour, as a result of many of the reviews on this website. However, nothing could've prepared me for the fantastic journey that we had with a brilliant tour guide today. If you are even considering doing this wine tour, please don't hesitate, and if possible, request Andrea, who is a magical guide. Our tour consisted of a visit to historic wineries in the Rufina area. I had an accomplished understanding of the region's history going in, and I was delighted by the amount of knowledge that I was able to learn today. Andrea is able to effectively guide, nurture, and enrich very experienced wine connoisseur's, and people who are brand new to wine. I am so grateful that he was a part of our wine journey today. My husband and I were fortunate to spend the entire day with Andrea. He is knowledable, charismatic, easy going, and welcomes questions. We learned a lot about wine and the process behind it, but also about the fascinating family histories of the two Tuscan wineries we visited. He has good relationships with the families he works with and speaking with and learning from the families directly is part of the tour. Andrea took a genuine interest in learning about us and our life in Wisconsin. He can easily engage in a contemplative conversation but also banter light heartedly. We have been in Italy for ten days and today was my favorite day. I highly recommend this tour with Andrea!
