Custom Wine Tours
No brochure itineraries here. Tell us how you like to travel and taste, and your personal trip designer builds the days — one, or fourteen — entirely around you.

Built entirely around youThis isn't a tour picked off a shelf. There's no fixed itinerary to browse or adapt — we start from a blank page and build around your dates, your taste in wine, your pace and your budget.
Our Philosophy
Most of what we run are pre-built tours — a set route, a set winery, a set day. This is the opposite. A custom wine tour starts with a conversation, not a catalog: what you're curious about, which wines you already love, how you like to spend a day, who you're traveling with. Everything else — the estates, the pace, the meals, the villages along the way — is designed around those answers.
We've spent more than twenty years building relationships with family-owned wineries across Tuscany, Piedmont and Veneto, and we personally taste what we recommend. That's what makes it possible to say yes to almost any request, rather than pointing you toward the nearest thing we already had on the shelf.
How It Works
Tell us about your trip
Dates, number of travelers, the wines or regions you're drawn to, your pace, your budget range, and anything you're celebrating. The more detail, the better the first draft.
Your trip designer builds a proposal
Usually Vittorio himself, drawing on wineries and guides in the regions you've mentioned. You'll have a first draft itinerary, with no obligation to book, typically within 24–48 hours.
We refine it together
Swap a winery, add a cooking class, push the pace or slow it right down — as many rounds as it takes until the plan feels like yours.
You travel, and it keeps adapting
Your private driver and guide can still adjust the day in real time — a longer lunch, a village you didn't plan for, a cellar you want to revisit.
What We Can Build For You
- Private tastings at family-owned wineries across Tuscany, Piedmont, Veneto and beyond
- Vineyard walks and cellar visits led by the winemakers themselves
- Food pairings, truffle hunting, and hands-on cooking classes
- Private dinners at wine estates or historic villas
- Multi-day countryside stays with one driver-guide for the whole trip
- Restaurant reservations and boutique or luxury accommodation, booked on your behalf
- Corporate incentive trips and private celebrations, of any size
- Wine woven into a wider trip — art, food, or other regions of Italy, in one itinerary
Who We Plan For
Some of our custom requests come from first-time visitors who care about one specific region or grape and want the whole day built around it. Others come from collectors chasing a particular label, families marking an anniversary, or companies rewarding their teams with something more memorable than a conference room. Over twenty years working with private groups and companies, the one constant is that no request has been too big, or too small, to take seriously.
Examples of Trips We've Built
Every custom itinerary is different by definition, so there's no fixed example to show you — but here's a sense of the range, drawn from real requests.
A day built entirely around Barolo
A couple who only wanted Nebbiolo — no fixed lunch stop, no filler winery. They ended up staying three extra hours at the estate they liked best, and we simply let the day run long.
Three regions, one seamless trip
A corporate group of fourteen: Tuscany for the first days, a truffle detour mid-week, then a private transfer to a Piedmont estate for the closing dinner.
An anniversary, planned around one bottle
A private dinner at a 15th-century wine estate, with a sommelier-led tasting built around the couple's wedding vintage.
Your Trip Designer

Vittorio Del Bono Venezze
Every custom itinerary is planned by hand, not assembled from a template. Once you get in touch, Vittorio and the team put together a first proposal tailored to your dates, taste and budget — usually within 24–48 hours, with no obligation to book.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is there a minimum budget or group size?
No — we've planned single-day requests for couples and week-long trips for corporate groups of twenty. Tell us your range and we'll design within it, not around it.
How far in advance should we get in touch?
As early as you can, especially for peak season (April–October) or if you have a specific winery in mind — but we've also turned around proposals for trips just a few weeks out.
Can you match a very specific wine focus or dietary requirement?
Yes. Single-grape itineraries, allergies, vegetarian or vegan requests, non-drinkers in the group — tell us up front and we'll build the wineries, guides and meals around it.
Do you also arrange accommodation and restaurants, not just wineries?
Yes — hotels, private dinners and restaurant reservations can all be part of the proposal if you'd like us to handle them, or we can focus purely on the wine days if you're sorting the rest yourself.
What if we don't know exactly what we want yet?
That's normal, and it's fine — a rough sense of dates, region and how many people is enough to start a conversation. The proposal itself is often what helps clarify the rest.

Tanya Adams
Definitely worth doing! This is our 2nd tour with Italy & Wine and I would highly recommend them. The experience from booking to drop off was impeccable. Andrea, our guide, was a wealth of wine knowledge & a delight to spend the day with. I am looking forward to going back & doing another tour asap.

We learned a lot from Andrea and had a very enjoyable time. I really appreciate having a local talk to us about the wine, the area, the culture etc, and Andrea was especially considerate. Also, going out a bit further to experience the Brunello and see Montalcino was definitely worth the drive! It was a perfect ending to our Florence vacation.

What a wonderful birthday I had in charming Montalcino in great company ! Andrea was a joy & very knowledgeable about wine & the region. Fortunate to share this day with another great couple . All on the hunt for my Ferragamo & enjoying fantastic wines along the way! Met both winemakers & enjoyed all the wines. Highly recommend
