Frequently Asked Questions

How is this different from a private multi-day tour?

This is a small-group departure — you'll join other fellow travelers and stay at a single hotel in Chianti Classico for the whole trip, rather than following a fully private itinerary. It's a more social, generally lower-cost way to see the same wine regions over several days.

What's included besides wine tastings?

All dinners and lunches are included, paired with wine, plus a hands-on pasta-making cooking class in San Miniato — a good mix of tasting and hands-on Tuscan cooking.

Is tipping expected?

Tipping is not included and is entirely at your discretion. Many guests tip their driver-guide directly at the end of the day if they enjoyed the experience, but there is no fixed expectation or amount.

We had an amazing 5 nights in San Casiano at Villa I Baronnci on a private tour planned by Vittorio and executed by Matteo. The variety of wineries and other experiences really set them apart from others. Truffle hunting, cooking class, cheese farm, and delicious lunches every day. From small private vineyards to large, we experienced it all. If you want to go to Tuscany, this is the way to go.
