How long does Barolo need to age, and when should we drink it?
By law Barolo must age at least 38 months, including at least 18 months in oak, before release. Most bottles become approachable after 8–10 years and can develop for decades, so what you taste on the tour is often still a young wine.
Can we choose which wineries we visit?
Yes — this is a private tour, so your guide can tailor the estates you visit around your taste, whether you prefer traditional or more modern Barolo styles.
Is tipping expected?
