This day you will be driving towards the Chianti Rufina one of the best wine region of Tuscany. This for long time was the border of Florence republic, so it is rich of castles and keep. Now they are converted into well known winery so you can appreciate a fine wine in a splendid medieval setting.
While we take you to some of the most famous wineries in the region, we also pride ourselves in giving you a flavor of the local culture. Therefore, one of wineries we visit is on a much smaller scale and is often family owned. This enables you to connect with the proprietor on a much more personal level while he/she shows you the finer aspects of viticulture.

If you have booked a Single (private or shared) day tour, cancellation terms are:
• Up to 30 days before: we will return the deposit minus administration fees
• 29 – 8 days: Deposit
• 7 – 4 days: 50% of tour cost
• 3 days or less to date of departure: 100% of tour cost.
Children on PRIVATE TOURS
- Children between 4-16 yrs, we will calculate the cost of the tour according to the number of adults, plus € 50 per child (this cost, of course, doesn't include the wine tasting)
- Infants between 1-3 yrs are free. Children's seat will be provided for upon request.

We had a wonderful time with Hilary on our tour! There were 11 people in our group and everyone walked away with a new appreciation of wine, olive oil and the background of wine and Italy. Hilary is very personable and knowledgeable and made our tour amazing. This was the 2nd tour that we booked with Hilary and I would recommend her to everyone! The wine was excellent, lunch at a small local restaurant was superb, couldn't ask for a better day!

We had a very nice trip with Vittorio. He had an impressive wealth of knowledge about the Chianti region, and was very good for a mix of people, some who knew wine and some who didn't. The places he brought us were really interesting and very cool, and we really enjoyed the day. I highly recommend taking this tour.

Vittorio picked us up at our hotel right on time and took us to two different wineries, including one that is also a medieval castle! The wines were great, Vittorio is very well educated in wines and does a great job explaining the nuances of Chianti and Sangiovese, and we had an amazing time! Lunch was provided at a fantastic local restaurant in the Tuscany countryside, which had great in-season tortello (a local pasta they make around the end of September with boar sausage ragu). I highly recommend Vittorio to anyone that wants a top-notch wine tour!
