Il Solatione Description
The Solatione Estate has been owned for generations
by the Giachi family and its South facing vineyards are located
400 metres up in the hills of Mercatale Val di Pesa, enjoying splendid
sunshine - hence the name 'Solatione'. The vineyards are planted
with the essential Tuscan varieties some producing classic wines
made from 100% Sangiovese
Tasting Notes: This Chianti
Classico is elegant, with excellent structure and huge amounts of
very accessible fruit. Made from the Sangiovese clone best suite
to the terroir at Villa Cafaggio. It is aged for 12 months in traditional
Slavonian oak casks, contributing to its wonderful structure, which
is balanced by voluptuous fruit. A lovely bright cherry red. Spicy
cloves on the nose with a wonderfully refined black cherry and plum
fruitiness. Grape varieties: Sangiovese 100% Food Pairings: We suggest to seve at 19° C. Good with red and white
meats, pork, poultry and aged cheeses. Total production: 7.000 bottles Awards Won:
