Visting the Vatican, the Ancient ruins,the Uffizi,and the Accademia was great but overall, I would have to say the thing I liked best about our trip to Italy this November 2007 was the Chianti Wine Tour. We especially loved meeting Hilliary at La Salla Vineyards and that fabulous lunch at the little restaurant in the walled town (sorry, can't remember the name. I learned so much from you during our drive over. Most Sommeliers that I speak with seem intimidating, but you weren't. You were very easy to talk to and had a way with explaining things and I felt I came away with much more than just doing wine tour and wine tasting. Your choice in the vineyards you chose to take us to was excellent. I learned even more about Chianti wines when we were visiting with Hilliary at La Sala. And the wines we tasted were incredible! Caffagio Vineyard was lovely, but Hilliary at La Sala made learning about Chianti Classico and reserva more memorable, enjoyable and definitely more a lot more fun. When we got back to the US, the first thing we did was go to Appple Jacks (the local adult beverage store in Arvada) to look for La Sala (unfortunately, they didn't have it), We felt more confident and knew when we saw the Black Rooter, we knew the quality of the wine were were buying and can truly say it no longer is hit or miss with our wine selection. Simple. Just look for the wine bottles with the black rooster. We tossed a coin in the Trevi Fountain in Rome, it is our wish to return to Italy soon. When we return, we will look you up again and this time take the Montalicno tour. Thanks again for putting together this wonderful company "Italy and Wine". The time spent at La Sala and Casa Sola was a delight. The hospitality at both wineries was remarkable, and the wines were among the best we've tasted. enjoy thinking about being back there with you. It is hard to believe
it has almost been a year since our visit to Florence and the delightful
tours you provided. As a remembrance I thought I would attach some
photos that I took, and meant to send to you sooner. I hope you
enjoy them. My wife Kellie and I are looking forward to coming back
for another visit to Italy with friends – perhaps in 2009.
We will definitely stay in touch with you as we truly had an outstanding
day visiting La Scala and Solatione with you…and we loved
the delightful lunch (thanks for recommending the wild boar!). I

it turned out to be as educational and enjoyable as we could have
imagined. So many things to remember, starting with the scenery
and the conversations about wines en route to the vineyards. Hilary's
wonderful lessons on getting prepared to drink and then taking a
sip. The tour of both wineries. Those huge barrels at Carfaggio's
(seemingly the size of a one bedroom apartment). And all the sampling.
Plus lunch on the lower level at that out-of-the-way eatery. We
felt that we more than got our money's worth. For ANYONE in the
vicinity of one of your tours, we highly suggest signing up. Among
all the memorable things we saw and did, from Rome to Florence to
Venice on what was our first trip to Italy, our day with you roaming
the Tuscany countryside was among the highlights. Our sincere thanks,
to you and the gang at both wineries. We get back there, we'll definitely
look you up.
I
havae taken three different groups on Chianti wines tours with Vittorio
and Italy and wine - He truly has the ability to recommend the best
vineyards for individual experiences and tastes and also selects
wineries where the owner are passionate about their products. My
groups (and I) have learned a great deal about wine and about Chianti
and have always had a wonderful time. Vittorio also arranged a private
tour for one of my friends to the Montalcino area and he raved about
that trip as well. My thanks to Vittorio for the great experiences
he has provide for me and my friends.

9th) we had on the wine tour as part of our wedding celebration.
Everyone had such a terrific time! The first tasting was so different
from what we are used to in Napa Valley. When we walked in to the
tasting room and saw the beautiful tables with all of the meats
and cheeses, we were so surprised. Perluigi was a great educator
and a great personality! Lunch was also wonderful . . . . the setting
