Francesca raspanti

Francesca Raspanti

My name is Francesca Raspanti and I was born in Montepulciano.. I’m still  living in the Montepulciano’s countryside together with my family: my husband, our baby boy and our two cats, locally known as “the terrible hunters”! After finishing the university in Siena where I degree in history of art I restarted my summer work in the tourist office. In the  mean time I started to escort people in my region discovering beautiful corners and surprising tastes.
For this reason I started several wine and food courses: I first attended the sommelier course ( III level -  I’m a FISAR sommelier since 2004), than the extra virgin olive oil tasting course ( it was  a regional project - 2005) and last, but not least….. the cheese taster course ( ONAF association, I level 2006).
Between a course and another I stated to work in the winery Poliziano.
I have also worked for Fanti in Montalcino as the assistant to the sale manager, I thought that I was settled but… surprise! In 2008 I had my baby Leonardo and at the end of the same year I made an important decisions: leaving my job and trying to pass the exam to graduate into a licensed  provincial tourist guide.
SO now I’m a happy mum and a tourist guide with knowledge of wine and local food!
