My mom and I were looking for wine tasting course while we were in Florence and we were a little nervous because there seemed to be so many out there and we really had no idea who was actually good and who was just looking to make a quick buck by preying on tourists. After searching online and reading through all of the reviews, we finally decided on Vittorio and it was THE BEST DECISION, maybe of our entire trip. Vittorio was FANTASTIC! He was so nice and knowledgeable and PATIENT with our questions. He had a great selection of Chianti wines and really went through and explained the differences to us and what we needed to look for when choosing a wine. He taught us all about the soil, sun exposure, climate, and everything else that affects the vintage. Vittorio was so thorough during each part of the class and made sure that both of us really understood what we were seeing/ smelling/ tasting before he moved on to the next part. He also provided some different meats and cheeses to pair with each wine so we could taste how the wine is balanced by the food. Overall, it was a fantastic experience and both my mother and myself learned a tremendous amount about wine, the different regions, and food pairings. I can't say enough good things about Vittorio and his wine tasting class! Do yourself a favor and book a class with Vittorio, you won't regret it!
