Venice Wine Tasting Tour

Discover a hidden Venice when you participate in a unique wine tour which allows you a glimpse into the history, culture and traditions of the region. Enjoy a slice of local life while you tour a hidden corner of the city with your Italy and Wine expert, who is a professional Sommelier and Cheese Taster.

Your wine tasting tour will take you to two different enoteche (wine bars), set in authentic areas of Venice, well off the beaten path. Tours begin in the Canareggio neighborhood of Venice, near the Ca’ D’Oro vaporetto stop, and generally last approximately 3 hours.

Program

The Classic wine tasting includes 4 glasses of wine from the Tri-Veneto area (the area formerly ruled by the Venetian Republic). Each wine is paired with small Venetian appetizers, called "cicchetti". Examples of the quality wines you will taste are Prosecco and Tocai (white wines), and Refosco and Ripasso della Valpolicella (red wines), though the selection available may be subject to change.

There is the possible to upgrade your wine tastings to the Premium level. Examples of these prestigious wines area Franciacorta and Gewurtzraminer (white wines), and Brunello di Montalcino and Amarone (red wines). Again, these selections may be modified depending as necessary.
