I went on the castle of Chianti wine tour and it was one of the best trips I have been on while in Florence. The day started off very smoothly. We were picked up right on time and shuttled to our first wine tour. Vittorio, our tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable, and was able to answer every one of my questions. When we finally got to the first vineyard the woman who owned the vineyard met us outside and showed us the grapes and cellar. The view from the vineyard was beautiful, and we were able to see how beautiful Tuscany really is. After going through the cellar we got a chance to taste the wine. There was no pressure at all to buy any wine and the atmosphere was very relaxing. However, I purchased two bottles because the wine was phenomenal. Vittorio taught us all how to swirl, smell, and drink the wine. I had no idea how to do any of that before the tour. After the first vineyard we went to get lunch at a cute little restaurant. Everything was planned out perfectly and the food and espresso were delicious. After lunch we went to the Castle where we went on a tour inside which was beautiful. We also saw where they processed their wine. After that we tried a selection of their wines and also sampled olive oil. Everything at the castle was great and we even learned how to taste the olive oil. Overall the day was amazing, and I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone looking for a great wine tour experience around Tuscany.

I chose to do a wine tour with this company simply because it was one of the first results that popped up on the Google search. I was looking for something interesting to do with my friends when we met up in Florence this June. We're all about 21-22, so we werent sure what to expect with this tour. Well, it was totally worth it!!! If not just for the beautiful view of the Tuscan countryside, the tours itself were AMAZING. Absolutely unforgettable. We did the Castles of Chianti tour. We first visited a smaller, family-run winery- this was my favorite. It felt so personalized, we were given our own private tour and it just screamed "IM in italy!!" haha. Then we went to the Castello di Meleto- super super pretty! And the lunch was very good and educational as well. I absolutely recommend adding one of these tours into your trip. Be sure to bring a credit card/cash- not that they try to guilt you into buying things (they really don't, I appreciated that), but you WILL want something to remember this trip by!!
Oh and don't worry about the italian- they speak perfect english, you'll be just fine :)

We spent a Saturday taking the Castle of Chianti wine tour. It was the perfect day spent in the Tuscan countryside. Our guide Vittorio was very knowlegeable and courteous. We visited two small wineries and really learned a great deal about the wines and wine-making process from each winemaker. We were able to actually help harvest some of the grapes and see the winemaking process first-hand. In addition, we were served the most amazing meal at the first winery. At the second winery we even had an olive oil tasting. If you are going to spend more than a day in the Florence region then you must take one of these wine tours!!!
