Barbaresco Wine Tours

The “other nebbiolo”. It’s called the BARBARESCO, smaller brother of the most known BAROLO. From three only small town (TREISO, NEIVE and BARBARESCO) exit the blu dark grapes that allow after a period of sharpening at least 2 years to obtain a fantastic product. Great and small producers express the territory in the most variegate shapes and only tasting can be found the product that it satisfies just the personal taste.

The Barbaresco has been for many years the substitute of the BAROLO until ANGELO GAJA has expressed with its productions the best of the zone. This has favorite a fast development of small producers like MOCCAGATTA, SOTTIMANO and others, that they have worked intensely in order to recover the lost time...... e are resolutions shiningly.

Discover this beautiful wine country with our local guide accompanying throughout so you just relax and enjoy or explore independently in your rented car. Public tour option not available!

Day trip (9.30 a.m.- 6.00 p.m.) includes: private air-conditioning minivan, guide in your language, wine tasting and light lunch.

Please note that all prices above are quoted considering a pick up and drop off in Milan. We can organise for the driver to come to your villa or accommodation in other areas of North Italy and prices will be quoted seperately upon request.

This is the program for a day

• 09.00 a.m. Departure from Milan or your location .
• 10.30 a.m. Arrival at the first winery in NEIVE and visit the cellar and wine tasting (Azienda Moccagatta)
• 12.00 p.m. Light lunch at the local restaurant.
• 02.00 p.m. Driving along the hills and visit the DANTE RIVETTI vineyards where you can see the different type of barbaresco.
• 03.30 p.m. Second stop in a BARBARESCO and visit Az. Agricola SOTTIMANO wine tasting.
• 04.30 p.m. We go back to Milan where the tour would be end by 6:00 pm.
• (Wineries are only suggested, and may be substituted at anytime based on group size and tasting room availability.)
